Description of My Malama Honua Experience

WALT write a description about our Malama Honua experience using our five senses.

I can hear Manaiakalani schools presenting and I can hear the low hum of the conch shell. I can hear the helicopter flying up in the air and I can also hear the water splashing all over the place.

I can smell B.O from all of the school and I can smell the engine in the boat splashing the water and I can smell the water from the sea.
I can taste the sea water in my mouth and I can taste the green grasss in my mouth.

I saw a rainbow of colours from the schools of Manaiakalani. I saw two boats as tall as a tree. I can see the sand, like brown glitter. I saw all school sitting down quietly waiting for the waka.

I feel happy because I had a fun day. We are Proud of our community for performing a haka in front of an audience, but also for our ancestors.

All of Manaiakalani were all tired when we came back to school.

Hello Calais its Maui here, I just want to say how good you've improved on your writing since last year, I see you have worked hard to get better in your writing congratulations! I also liked how described "I saw a rainbow of colours from the schools" that was really descriptive. Maybe next time you can adapt more on how you felt like "I could feel wind blowing into my hair" or something like that but besides that you've done great. Keep up the great work calais!!
